I've been looking forward to this one for a long time. The official trailer for Mitti De Baway has now been released, and as soon as it went up on Green Entertainment's YouTube channel, I was certain it was going to become one of the most talked-about Pakistani dramas of the year. Since this is the first time that Wahaj Ali and Mahira Khan are appearing together on television, the project has always come with high expectations. Having just watched the nearly three-minute long trailer, I can confirm that those expectations have only increased.

Green Entertainment put up the official trailer on 25 August 2026 and it can be found on their official YouTube channel with the title “MITTI DE BAWAY | Official Trailer | Ft. Wahaj Ali - Mahira Khan | Coming Soon Only On Green TV”. The video starts with a strong statement regarding a cursed bloodline and then immediatelly draws the viewers into a narrative which has both an intimate and a grand scale.

At once the enormous scale of the programme is apparent; it is not the kind of thing you'd expect from a normal television drama. It has a film-like quality because of the way the visuals, the action scenes, the emotional intensity and the period details are handled. The official description accurately conveys the atmosphere by saying that it comes out of the soil of dreams, the fire of desire, the tenderness of love and the fury of war. Some stories are merely watched while others are lived; that phrase remained with me.

What the Trailer Shows Us

We get a good understanding of the film's emotional heart without being told too many details about the entire plot. Wahaj Ali portrays Bala (who is also called Baala in some reports), a young man whose family think that love never works out for them; it is believed that their family line is cursed when it comes to love and that the only way to protect themselves is through restraint. Mahira Khan's character, who is first described as the young Billo and is later referred to as Bilqis Bano or Bari Sarkar, falls in love with this "innocent boy" when she is nineteen. The year 1998 is mentioned in the narrative framework.

All these years later, things are completely different. When Bala comes back from prison he has clearly changed... his appearance is more rugged, his demeanor more intense, and he is now skilled in the use of firearms. Mahira's character has developed into a powerful spiritual leader, the Bari Sarkar; she states that she is no longer the simple 19-year-old who had lost her heart, and that only a man on an equal footing with her will be suitable for her. The contrast between their past love and their present power is evident in all their interactions.

The following line had a strong impression on me: “Love either sets you on fire or turns you to ashes. What would you like to become... fire or ash?” It is a forceful assertion which appears to establish the emotional core of the whole story. Another character comments on the way that Bala has changed, observing the kind of person the relationship has made him. The trailer implies a trajectory going from lovers to enemies and back to lovers, or at least a complicated reunion marked by unresolved history, social obstacles, and personal transformation.

The action scenes in particular stand out. There is no doubt about Wahaj's physical change, you can see the sculpted appearance, the intensity, and the way he handles the guns. It seems to mark a clear shift away from some of his more recent romantic roles. As for Mahira, she shows a quiet authority through her dressing in black and her veiled appearance, which was first noticeable in the promotional photos. The blend of spiritual power and romantic background produces a very interesting dynamic.

The Creative Team and Cast

The drama Mitti De Baway was written by Faiza Iftikhar, directed by Syed Wajahat Hussain, and produced by Tehreem Chaudhary. It is important to note that Faiza Iftikhar has always been known for her strong character-driven scripts, while Wajahat Hussain has demonstrated a talent for visual storytelling. The fact that this project represents Mahira Khan's return to television after a number of years gives it extra significance.

The supporting cast, as reported in various reliable sources, consists of Hina Afridi, Amar Khan, Anika Zulfiqar, and Junaid Khan; however, at this stage precise information regarding the characters in these roles is still scarce, a situation that is entirely reasonable since the full promotional campaign has not yet been launched. Sahir Ali Bagga is given as the composer in the industry databases, which is a positive sign for the musical aspect of the drama.

To me, the true attraction is the fact that Wahaj and Mahira are coming together for the first time in a full drama. Although their individual abilities on screen are already impressive, this opportunity to have them opposite one another in a plot that involves romance, power, social restrictions, and personal reinvention seems like a major one for Pakistani television.

Expected Release Date and Timing

The question that all fans are currently asking is when Mitti De Baway will actually have its premiere?

Green Entertainment has not yet given an official date for the premiere or a weekly schedule, the official statement still being "Coming soon only on Green Entertainment Television". Although some industry reports earlier on had suggested a possible start in June 2026, those dates have now clearly been changed. The more recent reports indicate that the most frequently mentioned period for the premiere would be early to mid September 2026.

One thing is certain: this drama will take the prime-time slot, likely at 8:00 or 9:00 PM. It will probably air two or three episodes a week. Because it is a hit show, it is following in the footsteps of recent giants like Dar-e-Nijaat and Zanjeerain.

Until Green Entertainment or the production company gives an official statement, any specific date should be regarded as unconfirmed. In the Pakistani drama industry it is common for premiere dates to be altered due to post-production, other launches, or scheduling decisions by the channel. The one thing that we can be certain about is that the trailer has been used as the main promotional effort, and that generally indicates the drama is fairly close to going on air. (PRETTY EXCITED!)

At the time of its premiere the programme will be shown only on Green Entertainment; after the drama starts, viewers should visit the official Green TV Entertainment YouTube channel to watch the episodes since that has now become the main digital destination for the network's content or you can follow our website to get full and complete episodes all in one place with our original analysis.

Why This Trailer Matters

Over the years I have seen a great many trailers for Pakistani dramas. In some cases there is a promise of intensity but what is actually shown is much softer. In others the trailers appear well-produced yet have no emotional depth. This one, however, is different. It has a unique character due to the blend of period-inspired storytelling, action sequences, spiritual power relationships, and a complicated romantic background. The fact that it is written by Faiza Iftikhar and directed by Syed Wajahat Hussain brings the standard of the production even higher.

The thing that I value most is that the trailer doesn't go into excessive detail. It provides us with enough to grasp the main conflict and the emotional changes experienced by both lead characters, while at the same time leaving a good deal open to curiosity. Achieving that kind of balance is difficult. Most trailers are either too revealing or remain so vague that they fail to generate real excitement. This one hits the ideal balance.

The initial reactions to the official video have been enthusiastic, with a number of viewers pointing out Wahaj's intensity and the film's overall cinematic quality. This excitement is easy to understand since, after months of having only seen limited previews and first-look posters, the fans finally get to see the tone and scale of the project.

What Comes Next

If you want to keep up with all the latest developments such as the confirmation of the premiere date, the episode schedule, cast interviews, details regarding the original sound track, and the episode-by-episode coverage when the drama starts.. Agahi Talks will be keeping a close eye on the situation.

I am truly looking forward to finding out how the full story turns out; the trailer has succeeded in making me care about these characters and the burden they carry. Now the period until the actual premiere starts.

Mitti De Baway will be coming soon through Green Entertainment, and until the official schedule is released, the trailer is still our best indication of what is set to become a major television event.
