I have kept a close eye on Zanjeerain since the very first episodes, and it wasn't until we got to the Sarbuland-Rabia nikah that I noticed the story had moved into a totally new emotional phase. The drama was written by Farhat Ishtiaq and directed by Shahzad Kashmiri for Momina Duraid Productions and is broadcast on HUM TV every Wednesday and Thursday. Episode 33 had already been shown by late August 2026, and the promos for Episodes 34 and 35 are sparking the kind of debate that is only possible with a well-constructed story.

Allow me to be entirely open about it. What is about to be stated has not been verified; rather, it consists of my own predictions and analysis drawn from the course that the story has taken, the characters' well-established motivations, and the patterns that Farhat Ishtiaq typically adheres to. Nothing in this should be regarded as a leak or an official spoiler.

Where the Story Stands After Episode 33

At the time of Episode 30, the decision of the jirga compelled Sarbuland and Rabia to get married in accordance with the traditional idea of khoon baha. This change had a significant effect on the emotional focus of the drama. What originally been a tale concerned with tribal power, revenge and hidden secrets has now turned into a more subtle and complex exploration of two individuals attempting to cope with grief, duty and their unexpected partnership.

The death of Mudassir, Bano's tragic fate, and Sherdil's previous departure still cast a shadow over all the main characters. Torsum's desire for revenge, Sohrab's thoughtful and cautious character, and the ongoing impact of Zafran Khan continue to exert pressure from without. Within the house, Sarbuland and Rabia are learning to live as a married couple while bearing the burden of all that has already been lost.

The question which interests me most at the moment isn't just 'who is going to win'; it is whether the remaining episodes will enable these two characters to achieve some sort of peace or whether the cycle of violence will call for one last, expensive confrontation.

What I Expect from Episodes 34 and 35

If you look at the promos and the way the story has been organised, I think that Episodes 34 and 35 will centre on three main threads.

First the aftermath of the recent scandals concerning Sohrab, Shireen and Zargun; the publicity indicates that the truth is now coming to light both in the jirga and within the family. I believe that Sohrab will try to shift the blame.. perhaps by pointing the finger at Zargun or Shireen.. as a deliberate attempt to protect himself. In Farhat Ishtiaq's stories, characters such as Sohrab never go down without a struggle. He is likely to attempt to reframe the story and portray himself as a victim of the circumstances.

Far from being done, Torsum still has a role to play. Even though a few of his plans have been disrupted, his personal grudge against the family is still unresolved. It would come as no surprise if Episodes 34 and 35 see him once again come into direct conflict with Sarbuland. The issue then is whether that confrontation will be physical, political, or both.

Third and most important to me is the developing relationship between Sarbuland and Rabia; their marriage was based on duty and sorrow rather than on any sense of romance. Throughout this drama the most effective writing has always come from subtle emotional scenes rather than from dramatic confrontations. I therefore look forward to the two episodes providing us with situations that show whether this arrangement, which is forced, can become something more genuine. One of the constant features of the story has been Rabia's strength; the way she decides to stand by Sarbuland or to challenge him will be significant in indicating the course the final part of the story will take.

Possible Direction Toward the Ending

Zanjeerain doesn't seem to be a tale that will conclude with simple revenge or a straightforward victory; in much of Farhat Ishtiaq's better work the characters end up altered rather than merely triumphant. I believe that the remaining episodes will make Sarbuland face the full cost of the power and the traditions he has inherited, and Rabia might turn out to be the one who helps him to see an alternative way forward or she might be the one who suffers the greatest penalty for staying in that world.

I hope that the ending doesn't fall into the trap of endless violence. The deaths we have already seen had a real emotional impact, and adding more just for the purpose of creating a shock effect would undermine the drama that has been established. In my opinion, a more satisfactory conclusion would include some form of accountability for the actual manipulators, a degree of justice for those who have been lost, and a hard-earned feeling of peace for both Sarbuland and Rabia... even if that peace is quiet and imperfect.

Of course, that is merely my interpretation of the story; the writers might still have some big surprises up their sleeve. The strength of Zanjeerain has always been its readiness to cause its characters to suffer and then to face the consequences of that suffering; I expect this approach to carry on until the final episode.

Why These Episodes Matter

Episodes 34 and 35 seem to mark the start of the endgame. The key players are now in position. The personal interests at issue between Sarbuland and Rabia are higher than ever. The external dangers have not gone away. The way the following two episodes deal with the balance between family politics, personal emotion and the ongoing revenge will show us a great deal about the type of ending this drama is aiming for.

I'll be keeping a close eye on things, what do you expect from these episodes? Do you think the marriage will act as a source of strength for both characters or will the weight of the past be too much for them? I would like to know how other viewers are interpreting the story's present course.
